Dr. Lien became a Clinical Examiner for the National Board of Examiners in Optometry in 2010.  She is a Subject Matter Expert for the California State Board of Optometry and also serves on the Board of the Asian American Optometric Society.

Dr. Lien is a recipient of the PEN/Con-Cise Award for displaying a high degree of professionalism and commitment to the independent practice of optometry.

Dr. Lee is currently an assistant professor at the Southern California College of Optometry. His primary clinical teaching responsibilities are in geriatrics and primary care. He is also the coordinator of the optometry clinic at the California State University at Fullerton.

Dr. Lee is a fellow in the American Academy of Optometry and also a member of the American Optometric Association and the California Optometric Association. His research interests include vision and driving, sports vision, and the impact of video games on vision.
